Such a beautiful wedding, on such a rainy day! Emily is the sister of my good friend, Monica. It was an honor to be able to photograph another special event for this family. Emily picked the most gorgeous wedding colors and added in beautiful succulents; her dress was stunning. The ladies got ready at the St. Paul Hotel while the boys hung out at Hermes Haberdashery. If you haven’t checked out Hermes, I highly recommend. Great service and a super cute shop. The wedding took place at Irving Park, quite picturesque, and finished up at the Science Museum. I had a wonderful time. Hopefully I’ll get to photograph some more Hecklinger siblings in the future! bride and groom at st paul library mn beautiful wedding couple in lowertown allies st paul mn Bride and groom outside St Paul Hotel in Garden Kissing beautiful bride outside st paul public library mn Bride and groom outside st paul public library mn bridal party wedding at Irvine Park St Paul MN Wedding party in lowertown st paul mn breaker

Every once in a while I get the opportunity to do one of my favorite things… assist other amazing photographers on wedding sessions and sometimes I capture some fun moments while I am there that I love to share. Amanda and Jeff were married at Northwestern College in Roseville, MN which is such a beautiful location that I always love going to. The grounds and chapel have endless posing locations to choose from. A photographers dream. As you can see, they are a very attractive couple which made my job just a wee bit too easy. Not to mention, they were both very easy going and carefree to work with. So much fun! Amanda wore one of the most elegant dress I have ever seen and her hair style matched perfectly. What a gorgeous smile!

I have so many more from this day that hopefully at some point I will have time to go through so I can share a few more. Thanks for taking a look!

This summer I had the privilege of assisting for my girlfriend at Jackie and Kyle’s wedding which was held outdoors at beautiful Green Haven Golf Course. This couple was so much fun. I really had a blast. The day started out with a first look on the gulf course and Jackie surprised her sweetheart with an engraved wedding band. It was pretty a perfect moment.

I love outdoor weddings. It is such a bummer that you just never know what the weather is going to be but for most of them the weather turns out great which makes for amazing photos with beautiful backgrounds. Her wedding colors really popped against the green as well. Super fun. Did I mention that they had been together for 8 years? It was time for a crazy celebration!

Kellie had some spice!

I know I say this a lot but… one of my FAVorite things to do is to assist on weddings for my photographer friends. It is so much fun when you get to watch and learn what different styles of techniques they use. And even better, I get to keep my eye out of all those fun candid moments while they are so busy concentrating on the formal photos. This is a wedding I assisted on for Nygaard Photography. When I work with Luke I wish I could record the whole day because there is just so much information that I can soak up from him. Jesse & Kellie were so much fun to work with. What a beautiful bride!!! I had a fabulous time. Here are a few images I managed to sneak in during the day.

Perfect!

Love that window light

This was a wedding day that I will not soon forget! Brian and Lucy are so perfect for each other. I love when I get to work with couples who just really fit so perfectly together it’s indescribable. Lucy is… pure elegance. She has a smile and laugh that can light up an entire room. The two of them made my job too easy! But just to make sure I stayed on my toes… a TORNADO did venture into our evening. This was my first, and hopefully last wedding where we had to evacuate to shelter. However, sure did make for some fun outdoor photos!

Our endevors took place in New York City Mills, MN. This was my first adventure to the small town. Upon arrival, I jumped up and down to my assistant that we just must use the old mill factory in the town. How unique would that be! The park that Lucy and Brian picked for the formal photos was absolutely perfect. We had a gorgeous day that included my favorite, puffy clouds!!! Thank you for including us in your special day guys, it was truly amazing!

Special thanks to my amazing assistant Jillian Bell, whom I couldn’t have kept my head straight without!

It is always such an honor when a good friend asks me to be their wedding photographer. I am so lucky that my job is to hang out with people on one of the most important and exciting days of their lives. I feel very blessed. Working with Karianne and Kevin was so amazing! They had an out door wedding at the beautiful Mississippi Dunes Golf Course in Cottage Grove. The day went absolutely perfect. I am not always so lucky to get to work with such photographic couples but these two were so great that I ended up with so many awesome images it was hard to pick what to put in their album!

A beautiful warm spring April 1st day. What a perfect day for a wedding! And no better way to spend my day than to assist for my favorite wedding photography, Luke Nygaard. I was able to sneak in a few fun shots through out the day that I thought I’d post on here. I really love getting the opportunity to see the techniques that other photographers use when they shoot. No matter how much you think you know, there is always so much you can gain by watching and learning from your peers. I am truly blessed that I am surrounded by so many talented artists who take the time to share their techniques.

I’m pretty sure I’ve not been to a wedding that was this much fun in my ENTIRE LIFE! Justin, Tisa and their guests sure know how to have one heck of a good time! I loved the location they chose for their formal photos: Central Park in Roseville. So full of color and character. Equipped with gazebo and and beautiful water fountain. Pair that with a beautiful sunset, and what more could a photographer ask for? They turned out amazing! Justin and Tisa are one of the sweetest and sexiest (oh yes I said it) wedding couples I’ve ever worked with and it glows in all of their photos. What an amazing day you guys! I am honored to have been a part of it, you two are the best!

Special thanks to my assistant Luke Nygaard from Nygaard Photography. You always make life one gigantic step easier!

I just love this quick little moment that was right before the bride walked down the isle, we caught her Dad giving her one last kiss. Awww 🙂

Isn’t that the best group of ladies you’ve ever seen? Even better? Almost all of them are sisters! So much fun!

Now this is one classy photo which is quite fitting for this this group of studs.

If you haven’t been out to central park before, the gazebo is stunning!

I absolutly LOVE these last two photos! Their magazine images… aren’t these two love birds perfection?

Did you know that you can have your wedding at the Science Museum… and it is AWESOME! The view is magnificent. I assisted at this wedding and took a few candids through out the day that I thought were fun. This bride and groom were really laid back and fun to work with. I thought the black dresses with the hot pink flowers were sexy and fun and even better… the bridesmaids could wear the dresses again. This couple were great! It’s always fun when you suggest something outrageous to a bride and groom for a photo and they say “let’s do it!” Congratulations Joel and Erika!
