Guess what??? Our neighborhood was blessed this spring with two twin baby fawns! I am SOOOO in love! Those of you who haven’t been to the studio may not be aware that we are located about a mile back in the woods between 3 lakes, also known as the tri-lakes area of Lake Elmo. We get some spectacular wild life here, considering we are located so close to downtown Saint Paul. These two beauties have been top photography priority for me the last few weeks. It was pretty hard to catch them away from mama. Also, I’m probably a little biased but we have the best yard in the neighborhood, the local deer pass through one to two times per day! Every time I see the babies, I run up to the window and try to sweet talk them into coming closer- hoping they will get used to the sound of my voice. They seem intrigued! But mama does not.

Like I always say… 2 year photos are pretty hard and this session was double trouble! All Mom and dad wanted was an adorable portrait of the two sisters sitting together but that just wasn’t going to happen without someone getting an eye poked out! I ventured up to their neck of the woods for […]

Like I always say… 2 year photos are pretty hard and this session was double trouble! All Mom and dad wanted was an adorable portrait of the two sisters sitting together but that just wasn’t going to happen without someone getting an eye poked out! I ventured up to their neck of the woods for this session which is close to Cold Spring. (Of course I stopped at the bakery while I was there!) We played out side in the woods for a while till the mosquitoes had gotten most of our blood and then called it a day. Got a few cute candids of the girls. I just adore these two. They are absolutely gorgeous children. I wanted to take them home with me. I wish they didn’t live so far away so we could play again another day.

I have always wanted to photograph twins. I never dreamed I’d get 2 little girls as perfect as this! This is Siri and Shaya’s very first photo session because they were such little peanuts when they were born. I wanted their photos to be perfect and I just love how they turned out. You can see how individual their personalities are yet how connected they are. Didn’t Mom pick out some adorable outfits! Oh gosh I could just eat them up! You ladies are welcome back anytime.
