Guess what??? Our neighborhood was blessed this spring with two twin baby fawns! I am SOOOO in love! Those of you who haven’t been to the studio may not be aware that we are located about a mile back in the woods between 3 lakes, also known as the tri-lakes area of Lake Elmo. We get some spectacular wild life here, considering we are located so close to downtown Saint Paul. These two beauties have been top photography priority for me the last few weeks. It was pretty hard to catch them away from mama. Also, I’m probably a little biased but we have the best yard in the neighborhood, the local deer pass through one to two times per day! Every time I see the babies, I run up to the window and try to sweet talk them into coming closer- hoping they will get used to the sound of my voice. They seem intrigued! But mama does not.

Who doesn’t LOVE kittens? They are the most adorable tiny little fluff balls that just want to be held and want to play and are just oh so cute cute cute! I was so excited when a client got a hold of me and asked… so? would you photograph my kitten? HECK YA I will! How about right this second, and then I might just stick him in my pocket and bring him home with me. 🙂 Little Miko was 8 weeks old when we did his photo session. Boy do those critters grow fast and run fast and get bored fast. We went out to Battle Creek to play in the grass and it didn’t take long until he was ready to go home so not to many poses for this little guy. But all in all, it’s pretty tough to take a photo of a kitten that isn’t cute. So if you have a kitten, puppy, horse, goat… monkey… mouse… bunny… anything young and fur-ball like and want photos done, let me know! I don’t get asked to do this often enough. (please no snakes or spiders- must be fur-ball in nature)
