A few unplanned photos from last nights impromptu Moon shoot. Lesson learned, I need to keep my gear better organized in case of last minute excursions. Super bummed I didn’t think to go out when the moon was low in the sky!
Special thanks to Joe for pulling me outside to see this and carrying my crap!
Gear:
Canon 5D Mark III
Tamron 150-600mm VC
Tripod
Cable Release
Settings:
Daylight Balance WB
F6.3
1/4 Second- 1 Second
ISO 200
Helpful Tips:
*Use a heavy duty tripod! (I couldn’t find the attachment plate to mine and was super bummed out!)
*Don’t forget to turn off any image stabilization (I forgot about this the first half hour and couldn’t think of why my photos were coming out blurry)
*Make sure to lock your mirror up for long exposures. Very helpful in reducing camera motion.
*If you don’t have a cable release or wireless remote, make sure to set the timer.
*Take your time, and don’t forget to enjoy the view!
Thank you for looking at my photos! There were so many amazing pictures taken of the lunarmoon eclipse last night. Please share your photos with me! As always, I love reading everyone’s comments! xoxo, Kristen
