Colin: Senior Session

St. Anthony Main

I can’t believe my baby brother is graduation from high school! Oh my gosh I feel old! It’s always interesting when your clients are people you are close to. The blessing is that I feel like I know his personality enough to have been able to capture the real him in his images. His true smile, attitude, and character. Wait… go back again, his -attitude! 🙂 Ha! It wasn’t in my plan to photograph my own brother until he said to me “I want you to take my photos because I know you’ll do a better job than anyone else will.” Now, how could I say no to that? I love you Colin and I hope you love how your senior photos turned out as much as I do!

We did Colin’s photos in two sessions because the first one didn’t go according to plan. Sometimes that is just how these things go! The first session we did in the fall and the second in the spring. It is fun to see how much he matured in just those few months. The first session was shot at Saint Anthony Main. One of my favorite places to go. So many back grounds to work with. Unfortunately, the weather was too windy this day.

Our second session was in Stillwater. Another one of my all time favorite places to go. This day was cloudy and rainy but I think the photos still turned out awesome. It gave the old railroad bridge even more of a rustic look. Want a laugh? Ask Colin how I got him to smile. It’s hard making your own brother smile when he already knows your jokes and sarcasm. 🙂
